Been going here for years and it is consistently good. We had a reservation this Friday and when we got there we were seated right away. It's always nice when they save the table for you. The food is on point. I usually get the Mongolian beef. This time I tried the paper wrapped chicken and it is excellent. They have fried wontons with plum sauce which is very addicting. On Friday night they had live music. They also have lunch specials throughout the week. Check them out!

Great happy hour. Love Wally's shrimp, mu shu, and green beans. The chocolate covered fortune cookies are a fun way to end a meal.

New Moon has to be one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants in the area. My cousin and I come here all the time and it's our go-to. There is inside and outside seating, staff is always so friendly and the food is delicious. I can honestly come here and just have a salad and those yummy wontons they bring you, they are so addicting! Highly recommend getting the Asian chicken salad, orange chicken and Shrimp with the glazed walnuts. Their prices can be a bit high, but you get a decent amount of food and it's eaten family style. I also recommend their hot and sour soup. I honestly crave New Moon all the time and highly recommend coming here.

My wife went to New Moon for lunch with a friend, and brought me back leftovers. It was a lunch special that had some spiciness to it. It was quite good, but hard for me to justify it being that much better than any of the other Chinese Food places in La Crescenta (especially for the price). It seemed a bit "american" chinese food, and on par with Panda Express. I did enjoy the leftovers, so it was a solid 4. I don't know about the other dishes there, since they offered the lunch special and soup. The cost was about $18 for the special a soup. Not a great deal, but also not outrageous. If going with a larger family meal, I'd probably venture to Arcadia to try something over there. Service was fine, and the restaurant was clean and tidy. It's also nice how it is so close.

We had not been to this location at all. Visited the spot in DTLA, but what a joy it was to come here. Great place, excellent service, clean venue and delicious food. The ambulance was fantastic. Candles on every table that set a nice mood. Fun music and just everything we remember downtown to be. Everything was fresh and just so yummy! New Moon is a great place and we suggest you stop on by and get it yourselves. It will all delight your palette!

Been here now a few times and met many nice people. I've also been to their DTLA, the NM Cafe at Fig@7th and the Valencia location, when it was open. But the Montrose spot has truly become one of my top three "go-to" spots for excellent food and service. The location is easy to find and they have a dedicated parking lot. Alan and Josh, the bartenders are exceptional and are customer-focused. It's always fun to go someplace that you are familiar with and are recognized. Did I mention that weekends are the best?! Their Happy Hour menu is truly unsurpassed. In this economic climate, many restaurants are having to cut back to stay afloat but New Moon does a great job. Prices are very reasonable and the portions measure up. I also really appreciate their gluten-free options and the care they take to notify the kitchen staff of any allergies. I really encourage anyone to stop by if they haven't already.
